Dave Stoetzel's amazing landscape photography focuses on Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains, Cloud Peak Wilderness, and other National Parks. Dave is able to capture these landscapes in a manner in which the viewer feels as if he/or she is actually there.
Dave Stoetzel has been interested in photography all his life. He was the yearbook photographer in his high school in the small town of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming, and this hands on experience at a young age sparked his interest in photography. Now photography has become one of his true loves in his life. Before Dave could follow his dream of becoming a landscape photographer, he was a college student at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming where he met his wife Debbie. Together they then moved to Boulder, Colorado where Dave got his master’s degree in Anthropology and Dave and Deb welcomed their first daughter Marcie into the world. After Dave finished school, he took his small family to Buffalo, Wyoming. Here they had their second daughter Ryan. For work he painted houses and businesses. But soon Dave realized that his degree in Anthropology wouldn't get him very far in this small town, so he bought a fast food restaurant named "Taco John's." "Taco John's" helped Dave accomplish many things in life and when he retired from working the fast food business, it helped him pursue his real passion, landscape photography. Buffalo, Wyoming is still home to Dave but he now takes time to travel with his wife and uses this time to take photographs of many different places throughout the United States and sometimes overseas. Dave’s photographs capture the essence of the western landscape and it is his wish to share his passion with others.
